  • Southern Mexico to northern South America
  • West Indies and the southern tip of Florida
  • Coastal Madagascar and all of Africa
  • India, Southeast Asia and Australia
Teeth:
In crocodiles, the fourth tooth in the lower jaw is accommodated in a notch in the upper jaw and is visible when the mouth is closed.

Size:
Largest: The saltwater crocodile: 7 meters in total length.
Smallest: West African dwarf crocodile: 2 meters in total length.

Preserved whole specimen from the museum
