| | There are two parts to the Tick Collection housed in the Ashworth Laboratories, King's Buildings:

The main general collection consisting of ticks from all
zoogeographical regions and collected from domestic stock
and companion animals; wild amphibians, reptiles, birds
	and mammals.

A specialised collection of ticks from wild animals in
Ghana collected by Dr Y. Ntiamoa-Baidu, the Ghanian Wildlife
	Department.

There are two catalogues of the Tick Collection:

A paper catalogue prepared by Dr J. A. Campbell
lists accession numbers, tick species, gender and country of
	origin.

An 'Electronic' catalogue created in 2001 holds all the data
for the general collection of specimens and for the Ghanian ticks
of wild animals on Access Databases. These databases were created
with support from the European Union International Consortium on
Ticks and Tick-borne Diseases, as part of its 'Virtual Tick Museum
	Programme'.
