FRESH WATER BRYOZOA

From left to right:

Cristatella mucedo is one of the few motile bryozoans. Allman drew a colony crawling over the stem of a water buttercup. Ashworth bought a colony collected in Suffolk from a professional collector, who wrote a letter explaining how it moves.

Alcyonidium sp.

Plumatella fungosa from Norfolk, England collected by Ashworth.
