THE ANOMURANS

This varied group of decapods is distinguished by the reduction or dorsal position of the fifth pair of legs. The group includes (from left to right) Plated lobster, Hermit Crab and two Stone Crabs, which attempt to deceive predators by looking like stones or rocks.
