PHYLUM PLATYHELMINTHES

The 25000 species of flatworms consist of four classes of flat, bilaterally symmetrical, acoelomate worms: the mainly free-living turbellaria and the parasitic monogeneans, digeneans and the tapeworms. Most flat worms are hermaphrodite.
